Cultural Activities in Montreal, Canada

Every week of every month, come to join the members of the school for exciting activities to broaden your learning experience and knowledge. Every season is special at POINT3 Language Center - TANDEM Montreal with diverse activities to help you discover how great Montreal is!

Our student coordinator and teachers plan weekly activities around your interests. Take part in the planning of the activities and really use and improve your French in real-life situations.

At POINT3 Language Center we have a selection of year-round activities - we offer cultural and language exchanges, movie screenings, pot luck dinners, special guest speakers, student performances, lunchtime sports challenges, activities, visits to museums, movie nights and wine and cheese parties to name a few.

Weekend trips to nearby Québec City, Toronto, New York, Boston, or Ottawa are also a must...

…and there are many, many more activities to choose from!!

Winter: See how beautiful Montreal is under a fresh blanket of snow and try tobogganing on Mont Royal, or skating in the Old Port, or go to one of the many mountains just outside Montreal to ski and snowboard.

Spring: Is maple syrup season! Visit a Cabane à Sucre (sugar shack) to see how maple syrup is made, taste syrup freshly frozen on a bed of snow, and enjoy a traditional Québecois meal.

Summer: The sun stays up late and so do Montrealers! Outdoor terraces and parks throughout the city are crowded with people enjoying the beautiful weather. This season, Montreal offers more festivals than you can imagine: F1 car racing, the International Jazz Festival the Just for Laughs Comedy Festival, the Festival of African culture, the Dragon Boat Festival, the International Fireworks Competition, and the World Film Festival are just a few!

Fall: The leaves on the trees turn gorgeous shades of red, yellow, and orange; this is a great season for hiking and mountain biking in the mountains that surround Montreal, and for taking long romantic walks on Mont Royal in the centre of the city.
