Centro Italiano: Italian Courses in Naples since 1982
Our Italian language school is located in the heart of the historical centre of Naples, in the university area.
Here you can meet friendly people who can help you with accommodation and give you all the information you need for a pleasant stay in Naples. You’ll become part of familiar surroundings, informal and cheerful just like the Neapolitans’ nature. The teachers have long experience in teaching Italian as a foreign language. Apart from the Italian language courses themselves, you’ll take part in other interesting activities: lectures, guided tours in the city, Italian films, and walks which discover the most original features of our city.
The teaching method
The teaching method adopted at our Italian language school is one with an integrated approach, based on the direct method and with only Italian being used during the lessons. Students are stimulated to use Italian and then to reflect on and understand the basic structures and grammar of the Italian language. This allows them to apply linguistic models already learnt to different situations. There are seven teaching levels. After an entry test, students are enrolled in the group best suited to their need and will move to the next level after passing a final test.
During any lesson great attention is given to the students' needs and their different ways of learning. For this reason teachers use different methods (individual, couple, group levels) and various expressions.
