Learn German in Dresden – the «Florence on the Elbe»

Learning German in the city known as the «Florence on the Elbe» is a unique cultural experience. On the northern banks of the Elbe River lies the cosmopolitan quarter of Dresden-Neustadt which includes many small galleries, theatres, and colourful houses. Every night young people from all walks of life meet here and enjoy themselves in the numerous trendy bars, street cafés, and international restaurants.

Did you know that the famous writer Erich Kästner spent his childhood in the Neustadt? This is also where Kästner Kolleg has its home and lives up to the author's motto: «There is nothing good: unless one does it».
