Spanish Course Program in Barcelona

Our Spanish courses at TANDEM Barcelona - Metrocultura are offered throughout the year, and are taught in 6 different levels, from beginning to advanced.

The Spanish courses last from 2 weeks up to several months. Class sizes are small, giving each student the opportunity to participate fully in class activities. Groups are organized according to ability after an individual Spanish test.

We offer Spanish Standard Courses (20 lessons per week) and Spanish Intensive Courses (20 + 10 lessons per week). Lessons are 45 minutes long and are taught in 90 min sessions. Spanish lessons are held from 09.30 am to 12.15 pm (Standard Spanish Course) or until 02.00 pm (Spanish Intensive Course).

Our Spanish classes are based on a communicative approach. Students enjoy studying in a friendly atmosphere where they develop speaking and listening skills related to daily situations, however, grammar and writing exercises are not ignored.

Our small classes also allow our Spanish language teachers to interact individually with the students and to ensure that in our Spanish courses no question is left unanswered.

Our teachers use a wide variety of dynamic and motivational activities, and in class, both the students and the teacher speak only Spanish.

Learn Spanish in Barcelona, the city of Gaudí

Barcelona offers endless possibilities to have a good time: museums, bars, concerts, parks, exhibitions, a great variety of restaurants, avenues and excursions (Montserrat, Sitges and the Dali Museum in Figueras) and, as if that were not enough, hundreds of beaches along the Mediterranean Sea.

The image of Barcelona is closely associated with that of the architect Antoni Gaudí. The discovery of his work is one of the main objectives of many visitors to the city.

The Sagrada Familia - as Barcelona´s second cathedral - is a structure of uncommon dimensions. Imagination is also a dominant factor in the Parque Güell from where magnificent views of Barcelona may be observed.

Barcelona is also a city of the arts; Pablo Picasso spent many of his formative years in Barcelona, the city that also gave birth to Joan Miró and Antoni Tápies.

The renowned Catalan cuisine, whose wide spectrum embraces both the humble pan con tomate (crusty bread with tomato and olive oil) and the most sophisticated creations may be sampled at many of the hundreds of restaurants scattered over the city. International cuisine of a high standard is also widely available, together with more informal tapas bars.
