Cultural Activities in Granada
Learning a new language also means learning about a different culture and way of life. That's why we organize a wide range of activities to allow you to obtain deeper insight into the Spanish way of life and to give you a chance to get to know the town of Granada and the surrounding countryside.
Our Culture Program takes place every afternoon and evening during the week. The activities are held in Spanish allowing you further opportunity to practice and improve your knowledge of the language.
Typical extra curricular activities include guided tours, visits to famous monuments and sites in Granada or tutorials on aspects of Spanish history or lifestyles.
All activities are structured and guided by a TANDEM Granada Spanish teacher.
In the afternoons and evenings we offer:
- Conferences concerning present-day topics of interest and Federico García Lorca
- Conferences regarding Moorish culture
- Tapa Tours; Theatre
- Film sessions dedicated to particular Spanish directors
- Visits to the Arabic bath Aljibe de San Miguel
- Guided tours to the Alhambra or the old Moorish quarter of the Albaicín
- Trips to villages in the surrounding area, or to the beach
- Trekking and horseback riding in the Sierra Nevada
- Practical cooking courses to learn about Mediterranean cuisine
- Flamenco dance courses
Travel Program
Every weekend we offer interesting travel options of from one to several days in Andalusia, including tours to Seville, Córdoba, Ronda, the Alpujarras and different nature parks. For those who wish, there is also a 3-day trip to Morocco.
