German language school in Berlin, Germany
Our main goal is to combine language proficiency with cultural exchange. We are certain that learning a language should be based on personal improvement skills and on the collection of good experiences. As such, we pay special attention to our students in order to make them feel comportable and relaxed. We also work hard to help our students develop real connections with the exciting city of Berlin. We think that the main characteristic of language learning is the union between people. Because of this, we offer German classes for all levels, as well as classes of Spanish, English, French, and Italian. Coexistence and socialization are the most important things for us. Tandem Berlin is more than a language school, it is your home.
We use the communicative method and we work to empower students with autonomy in learning. We are always searching for innovative ways to teach. We rely on Tandem language exchanges for effective language learning and to help students make new friends. What our students like the most is the relaxed atmosphere and efficiency of our language learning process, thanks to a combination of very simple elements: quality, enthusiasm, and a touch of personality. We are also a Certified Examination Center and we provide exams of German as a Foreign Language on behalf of TELC (The European Language Certificates). These certificates are approved and recognized throughout Europe. There are exams for any level and each exam of TELC corresponds to the description of the levels of the CEFR reference frame.
Our school has grown during the years, and we have moved to new venues on many occasions. We are currently in the “Bötzowkiez”, a central district of Prenzlauer, near Alexanderplatz. It is a very well connected area with a beautiful park called the Friedrichshain, where you can relax between one class and the next. The city of Berlin is full of life and contrasts. We want our students to enjoy all the exciting elements that the city has to offer. Come and learn German with us!

Germany is a culture-rich country with an extensive history and a bright society. It has abundant traditions which attract millions of visitors to Oktoberfest in Munich, or Carnival in Cologne.
The German language often gets labeled as a very difficult language to learn. Although German is not a Romance language like some of its European neighbors, there are many benefits and unexpected surprises learning this seemingly challenging language.
